I have had a wrench in my hand my entire life. I was raised in Northern Alberta in an auto wrecking yard and enjoyed countless hours working on vehicles throughout my childhood. I graduated from High School in Tilley, Alberta, and started my apprenticeship in Brooks soon after. All of my technical training was completed here in Medicine Hat at the College where I received my Journeyman Automotive Technician license and Red Seal Endorsement.

I have worked for both dealerships and aftermarket shops for the past 20 years and I have completed my factory training for both General Motors and Dodge. On a personal note, my wife, children and I will soon call the beautiful city of Medicine Hat our home. It is such a natural fit for us with so much to offer our family and its proximity to one of our favorite places in Southern Alberta- Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. My hobbies include hiking, biking, and camping with the family, working on cars with my boys, and taking family walks with our 2 dogs.

My wife Amanda and I started dating in late 2009 and in 2012, our lives changed. Our daughter Summer was born July 4, 2012 and soon after I opened QCP to supplement my income as I started the family. In 2015 our son Cashton was born and I decided to grow QCP from a one-truck operation into one of western Canada’s largest pilot car providers. Then, I set my goals even higher and branched the company out again. I am proud to say that QCP was recently awarded the Chamber of Commerce Global Growth Award for our cross-border services throughout Canada and the United States.
While growing my fleet to 14 trucks, I quickly realized Medicine Hat was missing something- a full fleet maintenance and repair centre that is affordable and transparent. Fleet maintenance is a huge part of many businesses and can get expensive, really fast. The internal mechanical team I have built has proven to save my company plenty of money, time, and headaches. It has also given me enormous confidence in my fleet, even well past 500,000kms on these gas engines. Fleet Street was born when Josh Pratt and I realized that we could offer this type of service beyond QCP.
When I’m not working, you can find me on the golf course with my friends, family, and now business partner, Bryan. Our family spends the majority of our summertime camping around Southern Alberta, riding bikes, cruising in our custom golf cart, playing catch, strumming the guitar, and enjoying campfires.

Petersen Family

I married my wife Jan August 14, 2004 and we have two awesome kids; Maia(13) and Silas(9). It's amazing when I think about the fact that we've been together for more than half my life because it really doesn't feel like that. My family is my greatest accomplishment and support me through everything.
To say entrepreneurship is my passion is an understatement. Now, I currently help manage and own 5 different businesses with accounting being my main focus. I thrive on new challenges (usually entailing a new venture) and making myself and the world a little bit better every day. When confronted by "the Josh's" to embark on this journey I couldn't say no; I was thrilled to be invited. You won't find better people in this world and that is more than anyone needs to start a healthy business. We'll be around for a long long time.
I'm also on the golf course with friends or family when I'm not working in one of my other four businesses. My family vacations as much as possible when we can manage to get away from our kids' sports and the general hustle of life.
